1. Sadly we note the passing last week of BOB MCKENZIE - long time, active member of our club.

2. Some special events early in 2026 : 

- the calendar below includes all our regular get-togethers starting with our 14th January MMM Run.

a. President's BBQ - with Concours - Friday 23 January.

Our annual Friday evening picnic at the local Girl Guides Centre at Cracroft. A fun evening in a lovely setting, and the best of MGs are being judged.

b. MG National Rally

Dunedin, Invercargill, Cromwell - 7th - 14th February.

Unfortunately registrations are now closed off - 64 cars. The organisers will accept registrations on to a waiting list - but with no guarantee of acceptance.

23 local cars are attending. In coming days names and email addresses will be circulated to those club members who are going - a rally email tree available as needed. If you would like your name or email excluded just let Paul know a.s.a.p.. paulmcw16@gmail.com , 022 166 4578

c. Inaugural Brit & Euro Classic Car Show

Wigram Air Museum fields - Saturday 7th March

Huge annual gathering of classic cars - and free public display.

All MGs (club members and others) are welcome to join our MG area; the more the better! - and merrier!! This will be a fun day.

d.  60th (MGBGT) and 70th (MGA) Anniversary Posh Picnic

Sunday 12th April - probably at the Girl Guide Centre, Cracroft - tbc.

An indoor/outdoor celebratory get-together with 'A's and 'GT's the focus, but all MGs obviously very welcome. Watch for more details. Intentions are that you will be encouraged to dress and picnic in the period of your car! A good time is assured!

THURS. 1st JAN. - BPVCC New Year's Day Picnic

Little River Domain

Not an MG event but classic cars galore!!

The many MG members tend to cluster together but it is all very informal and as parking allows. Most arrive 9.30 - 10.30am. Picnic on the grass and wander and admire classic cars of all sorts from all eras. Always a most relaxing and enjoyable start to the new year.

WED. 14th JAN. - MMM Run

11.00am from Cocoa Black Café, Waikuku

A relaxed, social drive to a picnic spot. Cafes for tea/coffee stops on the way. BYO lunch & picnic chairs.

"The run will be in the Culverden area.  Departure at Culverden will be from the Allied fuel station at 12.00. There will be about 30 km of gravel road, gates and possibly 2 shallow fords."
