1. Astronomy Night (this Wed./tomorrow)
- for some following our MMM day at Ruapuna.
If the weather requires a postponement there will be a Sporty email sent to all members as soon as that decision is made.

2. Again we sadly note the passing of long time Club member, office holder, Life Member and MG enthusiast DREN ERRINGTON.
We will very much miss Dren's MG knowledge, and the warmth of his friendship. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Di and family.
As in Dec. 8th Press notice: "As per Dren's wishes, a private family service has been held. A memorial service to celebrate Dren's life and the Marque of Friendship will be held at The Vines Club, 651 Pound Rd, Yaldhurst, on August 22, at 2.00pm. Please feel free to bring your MG."
3. Next club night, Fri. 4th Sept, is our AGM
The AGM will be followed by our usual social evening.

Ruapuna Raceway. Bring your picnic.
$15/car provides 5 laps of the Ruapuna circuit - max. 100kph. Please bring money/cash. As always, you are welcome to come just for the picnic - no charge.

Please try to be at Bells Rd by 7.15pm so that there is a sharp 7.30 start - thanks.
A dark winter evening looking through powerful telescopes and being informed about what you are looking at.
Email your intention to attend to Bob a.s.a.p.. 2 places left.
Bring warm clothes & correct money (cash/notes) - adults $15, children $10.

Allow 30- 45 minutes from Christchurch.

Right at BP Service Station onto Weedons Ross Rd. Travel 2.00km. Caution - 'STOP' sign on this road.

SUN. 23rd AUGUST - VCC NZ Daffodil Run
Nationwide classic and vintage car event organised by the Vintage Car Club. A series of short & long runs starting at 5 locations (below), all finishing at the VCC grounds at McLeans Island. Runs leave each location between 10.00 and 10.30am.
Afternoon Public Display at McLeans Island from 12.00pm. Coffee available at start points & BBQ lunch can be purchased at VCC Grounds. $10 Vehicle Entry – all fees donated to the local Cancer Society.

* Cashmere Club - Colombo St. or Hunter Tce.
