The Sunday Snow Run (see below) is replacing this month's MMM Run.

SUN. 19th JULY - Snow Run - Little River Inn.

JULY 13 deadline for names.

This will be a fun drive and relaxed, great meal.

This meal requires pre-payment by midday 13 July - please deposit $40p.p. in the club account (details at foot of this email - noting name and Snow Run) - AND also text or email Leonid that you have paid AND with your Main and Dessert choices.

"On Sunday 2nd August, the MG Car Club will be visiting Ferrymead Heritage Park with a display of classic and modern MGs. Stop by to admire these iconic vehicles and meet the enthusiasts who keep them on the road."

A relaxed drive to a picnic spot, sometimes visiting a place of interest. 

On this occasion to Ruapuna for some circuits of the track, and picnic. Details to follow.

WED. 19th AUGUST - Astronomy Evening

West Melton Observatory. Only 15 places left.

A few years back we were hosted by the Canty. Astronomical Society - an evening greatly enjoyed.  A dark winter evening of looking through powerful telescopes and being informed about what we were looking at.  This year another opportunity - subject to it being a clear evening.

Ony 45 places - email intention to attend to Bob a.s.a.p. to ensure your place. $15 for each adult and $10 for a child - this cash will be collected on the evening.

- MMM Run - 'over-nighter' Hanmer

- staying at Drifters Inn Hanmer Springs. 03 315 7554 $160 – $180 per room.

Book directly with Andy at the motel and identify as MG Car Club members.

Numbers are limited to the guests staying at Drifters Inn as we will be dining in, using their lovely lounge with the open fire for the evening. Only 3 rooms now remain available - and only until the end of July.

Simple lunch of soup, roll, tea and coffee en route at the Greta Valley Tavern, mulled wine on arrival in Hnmer and takeaway evening meal (probably fish and chips, coleslaw) included in the cost of $40.00 per person (t.b.c.).

SHOW WEEKEND RUN to WESTPORT

We leave from the same point and evening meals will be together – a drive to Denniston is planned and there will be plenty of time to explore locally. 

Those on the trip will arrange their own accommodation in Westport – there are plenty of motels etc..

More details to follow  - but in the meantime put Canterbury Show Weekend aside on your calendar so you are available to be part of what will be a fun trip/adventure to the lovely West Coast.
