SAT. 25th OCT. - Labour Weekend trip to Kaikoura
Dept Sat. 25th Oct. – retn Mon. 27th Oct.
This trip is now full - with 52 names. Sunday night’s meal at The Pier Hotel has restricted our dinner numbers, so at the moment Sandra has a waitlist - to join contact Sandra.
Remember, you do not have to join the group for any of the pre-arranged meals; just ensure Sandra knows you have other plans so she can provide correct meal numbers to the venue. Planned meals - one pub meal, one hotel meal and a breakfast at classic car museum.
The drive north will be over the Scenic/Inland Route (SH80). There is an alternative route available for those who like rural shingle roads. A lunch picnic stop is planned.
No ‘official’ group activity on Sunday, other than a nice dinner. There are many local activities to choose from. Whales, dolphins, museums, coffee - something for everyone. Leonid has only one or two places left if you are interested in joining him on a boat for a fishing trip.
Next update will be early October to get accurate meal numbers. Following that, you will be asked to select your meals in advance for both the evening venues. It is anticipated that Kaikoura will be very busy over the long weekend.
