1. MMM Run - Wed. August 17th
10.30am - from Cashmere Club
Something a little different this time ....
A short drive to The Hall of Flame Fire Museum at Ferrymead Heritage Park. A very experienced past member of the fire service/Museum coordinator will guide us through aspects of the really interesting displays. No Park entry fee but $5/car contribution to Museum.
Picnic lunches at the park, with a dry venue if weather requires, and then all interested can drive on to either Lyttelton or Sumner for an afternoon cup of tea or coffee at a local café.

*. VCC Daffodil Run for Cancer - Sun. August 21st
$10 vehicle entry. All monies to Canty/W.Coast branch of Cancer Society.
Runs start 10.00am from each of Rangiora (Sthbrook Park), New Brighton (New Br. Club), Cashmere (Cash. Club), Rolleston (Norman Kirk Dr.). Each has a short and long run option. All runs finish at the VCC grounds, McLeans Island, before 12.00pm, where BBQ food and drinks are for sale.
Prizes for best American, British, European and Japanese vehicles, best motorcycle, best couple dressed in the era of their vehicle, and a special trophy for a vehicle matching the theme of the day chosen by a representative from the Cancer Society.
Nelson VCC also have an event on Sun Aug 21st.
2. High Tea - Sun. August 28th
10.30am - from Cashmere Club
A drive via some historic places of Christchurch reaching Eliza’s Manor (82 Bealey Ave) for an indulgent high tea/lunch $40 pp.
Payment to club account by 12th August. Limited to 50.

5. Spring Garden Run - Sun. September 11th
1.00pm – Cashmere Club
Our annual drive to a lovely country garden - this year it's The Rhodo Run to Orton Bradley Park - via Summit Rd & Diamond Harbour.
Bring your afternoon tea then enjoy the rhododendron walks.
Orton Bradley entry - $5p.p. or $10 per car.

MacKenzie Country Hotel are keeping 20 studio units for the Club until 10 Sept, so if you plan to join us and need accommodation please contact the hotel and quote the secret password MGCAR1 to get the discounted rate i.e. $180 per night per room for 2 persons. Nb: "Tekapo village prices were ridiculously high or standards unacceptably low."

17. 2023 MGCC CALENDAR - Photo entries
This year’s rules:
- no limit on number of entry photos
- photos can be action, still or have a novelty aspect
- photo not restricted to own car
- photos must be LANDSCAPE page format to fit calendar page.
To enter submit a digital copy to Leonid by 21 August
Members will vote for best 13 photos on Club Night 2 September, when all entries will be printed and on display.
